Jaisalmer also known as the golden city of India lies to the western sentinel and is just worth visiting once. The sand of this place turns into a great picture when the sun sets with a golden ray. One of the best attractions of this place is the Jaisalmer Fort. This is one of the biggest forts of the city and is built on the Trikuta hill. The Haveli’s of this place are also no less. Three beautiful havelis which you must see are Salem Singh Haveli, Patwon ki haveli and Nathmal haveli. All of these havelis are said to be the pride of Jaisalmer and they also said to be the pride of the Jaisalmer architecture. The Salem Singh haveli lies at the east of this city. Patwon ki haveli which is near to the city was built by Guman Chand Patwa and his five sons very well deals in brocade, gold and silver embroidery. The third haveli belonged to Nathmal, the prime minister who then gifted it to Rawal who was then allowed to retain it.
After all of this come the Sand Dunes. These are located almost 40 km from Jaisalmer but then you can just not complete your tour without taking a look at these fascinating and mind boggling dunes. You can build up a great memory of this place if you witness the sunrise as well as the sunset at these extremely astonishing dunes. Here you will also experience a mystic silence which is just very commendable.
